The interior of this beautiful hotel is traditional in style and attention to detail can be seen in the little touches throughout, giving it great character. All rooms and suites are comfortably furnished and guests can enjoy a real home from home experience. The hotel’s fantastic restaurant specialises in regional and classic Italian cuisine and is open every day for both lunch and dinner.

These include Villa Romana, the Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene, the House of the Podesta and the Museum of Birds. Boats to other lakeside towns regularly depart from the pier, right opposite the hotel, while buses for Peschiera and Sirmione stop and depart from just 200m away, so you’ll never be short of great places to discover.

Location
Located right in the pedestrianised heart of the historic centre of Desenzano, the hotel Mayer et Splendid overlooks the lake, making for some beautiful views. The hotel is based just a short distance from the lake's shore.
For venturing further afield there is a train station in Desenzano from which you can travel to some of Italy's best loved cities and there is also a bus stop nearby from which you can take the bus to Lake Garda's famed Gardaland.

As an avid skier and snowboarder, you'll find me making the most of slopes during the winter months in Andorra and in the summer I swap my skis for sandals to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. I couldn’t possibly choose which season I prefer, I’ve skied since I was 5 years old and I can never get enough but there’s also something really magical about the spending the summer on Lake Garda.
