With its homely and cosy atmosphere, highly rated in-house restaurant and fantastic wine list, at the Hotel Montané, you’d be forgiven for staying right where you are after a long day of skiing.
Wake up in a warm, comfortable bedroom, crack open the french doors onto your own balcony and allow the Andoran air and breathtaking views of the mountains spill in and set you up for the day ahead.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the hotel, with plenty of choice, before venturing outside where the gondola to Vallnord is quite literally just across the road. The slopes in Vallnord are a skiers dream, well maintained with amazing facilities and great variety and you can rack up hours and hours of ski time here.
After a day on the slopes, you can return to the hotel to curl up in front of the blazing log fire in the lounge. Relax your weary bones and enjoy the complimentary coffee and pastries that are on offer all day. Be sure to try the highly regarded restaurant, El Xalet which offers a delicious range of national and international dishes and sample the extensive wine list that they offer too.
Venture outside, to Arinsal where you can choose from a selection of lively, mostly family friendly bars, within walking distance from the hotel. There is also a varied selection of restaurants, from Argentinian steak houses to local catalan cuisine and everything in between.

Children & Childcare in Resort
Kindergarten.
The kindergarten is in a building located at the bottom of the beginner's slopes, 100 meters from the upper gondola station and is just like any other kindergarten with kind and qualified staff. They accept children, aged 1 to 4 years, however they do not feed the children so you will have to organise yourself for lunch. Opening hours are 08:30 to 17:00 Children must be able to walk (or at least more or less) in order to be admitted.

Snow Park
The snow park is a closed off area, also located at the bottom of the beginner's slopes. The children, aged 4 to 8 years, play in the snow and learn how to ski with qualified instructors. If you are putting your children in the snow park, they will need ski equipment and lunch will need to be organised separately.

Please Note: You do not have to reserve the kindergarten and snowpark in advance. You can go to the ski school upon arrival and arrange everything right there and then. As tour operator groups only arrive on Sunday afternoon and start skiing on Monday, you will have first choice.

I recently visited Andorra during the summer and just had to come back to see it in the winter. I look forward to welcoming you and making sure that your trip is one to remember. My name is Lynsey and I have huge passion for both winter and summer sports, having worked for Topflight for over 10 years in Austria, France, Andorra and Italy. As an avid skier and snowboarder, you'll find me making the most of slopes during the winter months in Andorra and in the summer I swap my skis for sandals to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. I couldn’t possibly choose which season I prefer, I’ve skied since I was 5 years old and I can never get enough but there’s also something really magical about the spending the summer on Lake Garda.
